Well, as openPMA is at his first release, you'll all understand that there are a few bugs...
Our goal is to make openPMA kinda perfect ( :D ).
Please report any bug that you have found.

WiFi and USB bug
Status : WORKSFORME/CLOSED
Priority : Low
Description : Everyday I when I come home and try to use WiFi on the PMA it isn't connecting to the Network. It's fine the night before, but cuts off after a certain time. When this problem is occuring, the USB isn't working also.
How to reproduce it : I have no idea actually, just use the WiFi in the night before you go to sleep and then take it off. Don't use the WiFi again until about after 12 pm the next day and then try to connect to your WiFi. If it isn't working then you have the problem too. Someone else on the Yahoo Groups is also experiencing the problem, so I'm not the only one, see the post here, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/archos_PMA400/message/3284
This might be a bug. Please submit more information. Which USB doesn't work? USB-Host or USB-Slave or both? What do you do in between? Standby? --dm8tbr 00:29, 11 April 2006 (CEST)
I was not able to reproduce the above mentioned behaviour using my PMA unit reaching an uptime of around 36h. --> Bug is closed for now. --dm8tbr 16:49, 14 April 2006 (CEST)
Play video from external drive (NTFS)

Description : I've an external drive (2 partitions, both NTFS) and when I try to play a video from it, it stop at 150 seconds about (depending of bitrate).

The Font Bug
Status : moved to tracker
Priority : Low
Description : Although I configured the default typo for the pma via the "Apparence" menu (in french, sorry), the font in Music, Video, Photo, Mic, Video recorder is a big one like shown on the screenshots bellow :
How to reproduce it : Well, I don't know if I'm the only one to have this problem, anyway, just see if the font you configured is the same as the one in the applications I wrote about.
GPSconnect
Status : moved to tracker
Priority : Medium
Description : No window appears to choice "bluetooth or usb". but it works if I restore the aimage of archos.
How to reproduce it : Install GPSconnect, try it.
There seems to be an issue with usb and usb2serial. I'm investigating and hope to resolve this issue soon. --dm8tbr 01:07, 11 April 2006 (CEST)
USB Keyboard Mapping

Description : I tried to plug a French Usb Keyboard and i put CyrKeyboard into French. The Keyboard is recognized but when i write with it it is a english Mapping (it is written Q when i tap A etc...). It was the same if I first turn my pma into french and after plug my Keyboard.
How to reproduce it : Try to plug any keyboard in any language.

There are no relations between the inputs in taskbar (cyrkeyboard) and the usb stuff... So what u have is normal...
We will probably add other USB keyboard layout later if possible (have not checked yet... so don't know if possible)

In fact, there ARE relations. CyrKeyboard does have keymapping features but they are not used at the moment, and a bit zaurus specific. I'm working on it!
BUG : PC Synchronization

Priority : very low (related to 3rd party software)
Description : As explained here, http://www.jbmm.fr/forum/index.php?showtopic=9166, my PMA have 2 partitions : the FAT32 one (requested), and a NTFS one. PC Synchronization failed.
How to reproduce it : When this NTFS partition is mounted and I plug the PMA on PC, the synchronization failed. The Sync screen appears but nothing happened on Windows. To resolve this problem, I must umount this partition, after that, the sync works again :). With full reboot, and plugged PMA on PC before power on PMA, no problem, the autoexec works (launched 2 times, one by partition).
EDIT : I'm not talking about files/contacts synchronization which can be done with QtopiaDesktop, but about using my PMA as external hard disk.

Clock and date
Status : RESO/WONTFIX
Priority : Low
Description : when the pma starts after a totally shutdown, it keeps the same date and clock. For example, the pma shutdowns the 2 april at 11h, when it starts, it's always the 2 april at 11h for it.
The pma is not connected to network.
How to reproduce it : Completely shutdown the pma, wait an hour and start it.
This is by design. The device is not supposed to be powered down. The RealTimeClock only works in standby. Hence there is not even a possibility to work around this behaviour using software. (besides manually adjusting or syncing time via network) Device power consumption in standby is very low. Hence this is the suggested state for the pma when it's not used for let's say some hours or a day. --dm8tbr 16:37, 24 April 2006 (CEST)
Recording

Description : I'm ready to record a video (VHS, TV,...), I configure the recording (S-video or Composite, TV or PMA screen, etc.)... Before OpenPMA, I could push the Pause button, then record button, to make the recording waiting, but now, with OpenPMA, I can't push the Pause button before the record button... (However, when I push record and then pause, it's working).
It's not a so important bug, but I appreciated this function before... I think I've heard some other bugs with recording, I'll let you know when I see that...thanks.
standby + power plug

Description
- put the pma in standby while beeing pluged on the power plug
- unplug the power plug and the pma will resume instead of keeping beeing in standby mode
or:
- put the pma in standby while not beeing pluged on the power plug
- plug the power plug and the pma will resume instead of keeping beeing in standby mode
Questions to the Person who submitted this:
- Does the behaviour occur only with openPMA? We didn't change things related to power management.
it does this with the craddle and not the power plug
The problem is that i used the craddle in order to chargr the battery
ctrl key doesn't work

- Before installing openPMA, I've created 5 different SSID
- After having installed, I connected to some of them and all worked fine
- I've gone to another location where I tried to add a new network ut unfortunately it was never declared.
- All windows and dialog box appear but it seems that nothing is stored in PMA
